Some quick lighting studies from the Resident Evil remake on the Gamecube. These are pretty messy and only took about 20-30 mins each but definitely worthwhile. If you're interested in studying environments I'd strongly recommend looking at this game. It's 10 years old now, but because the environments are pre-rendered and camera shots are static, every shot is beautifully composed, lit and rendered. And their designers/artists were crazy good too of course! I love old games which look better than some current gen titles. Metal Gear HD collection and Silent Hill 3 (original, not the new HD butchered version) still look so good because of the talent, care and incredible art direction that went into them. That's something I really want to achieve in my own work so what better examples to study?
